Antonio Velázquez Bautista
Antonio Velázquez was born in Granada in 1981 and grew up in the village of Pinos del Valle, spending much of his childhood at the Venta de la Cebada farmhouse. He trained to become a non-commissioned officer in the Spanish Armed Forces before switching to acting in 1999.
His first decade brought supporting and guest roles in series such as Arrayán, SMS, Aída, Matrimonio con hijos, Mesa para cinco and Cuenta atrás. In 2009 he starred as the fishmonger Mike in Telecinco's ensemble comedy ¡A ver si llego! and won wide recognition in the title role of the television biopic Paquirri, about the bullfighter.
His part as Aníbal Bravo in Tierra de lobos made him a household name, and he has since appeared in Hermanos, Las chicas del cable (Cable Girls) and Traición.
