A defined standard, not a vague label.
In U.S. practice, a "certified translation" is a translation accompanied by a signed certificate of accuracy: a written statement, signed by the translator, attesting that the translation is true and complete and that the translator is competent to translate between the two languages. The certificate identifies the document translated, the languages involved, and the date.
Each translation delivered under this service includes that certificate. Formatting follows the conventions USCIS and U.S. courts expect — the source document's layout preserved where possible, seal and signature locations marked, page numbering matched, and any illegible portions clearly noted.
Notarization of the certificate is available on request, useful for evidentiary submissions and for some consular processes. For matters destined for Italian, Spanish, or Latin American authorities that require a sworn or apostilled translation, the appropriate downstream process is coordinated case by case.

Each client engagement keeps a working glossary — defined terms, party names, technical vocabulary, and any house preferences — that travels with every subsequent document.
Every translation is read end-to-end after drafting, with attention to numbers, dates, names, and citations. Defined terms are checked against the source glossary. Formatting is reviewed against the original. Where ambiguity exists in the source, a translator's note flags the point rather than guessing — counsel decides how to handle it.
